“I raise my voice not so that i can shout, but so that those without a voice can be heard.”
Malala Yousafzai, Nobel Prize winner, aged 17.
We want to see a world in which young people’s voices have influence on the decisions, issues and systems that impact their lives.
We believe that for this to happen:
- Young people should be given more autonomy to make decisions and advocate for themselves. Information should be easy to find, accessible and jargon free
- The lived experience of young people should be seen as equal to those of other ‘experts’’ in systems. Views should be valued and acted upon. Time should be paid for.
- Young people should have the power to design, shape and improve all systems that impact their lives. Meaningful, decision-making roles in systems (not just consultation).
